What is Fertility Preservation?
Fertility preservation involves a woman freezing her eggs or embryos (fertilized eggs) at a younger age in case she needs to use them at an older age when she is more likely to experience infertility. Some women also choose to preserve their fertility prior to going through certain therapies, such as cancer treatment, which may be harmful to the ovaries.
