Mom Jill and husband Jay began trying to start a family in 2013. The couple moved to Hawaii so Jill could finish her BA degree in 2016. In 2017, they sought out the help of the Fertility Institute of Hawaii. Jill suffers from PCOS and ended up having her right Fallopian tube removed. This ended up making their journey to conceive take a bit longer, because they could only try conceiving when her left ovary was ovulating. After several failed clomid attempts, IVF was suggested by Dr. John Frattarelli. IVF with PGS testing was successful on the first try and they had their first little boy, Melly, in 2020. With four embryos remaining, the couple again decided to do IVF to grow their family. Unfortunately, Jill had to have surgery again, this time her left Fallopian tube was removed. This delayed their journey again slightly, but they had another successful cycle a few months later.
Little Oliver Ray Brooks Hutchison was born on July 29th, 2021 at 10:06pm, weighing in at 7 pounds 11 ounces, and 20 inches long.
“We now have three embryos left but I think this is the end of our IVF journey after two complicated and traumatic deliveries. Thank you to the Fertility Institute of Hawaii for all of their love and support throughout our journey.”
