International Patients Can Find Help in Hawaii
The Fertility Institute of Hawaii helps families all over the world who are struggling with infertility. Hawaii’s unique location allows doctors John L. Frattarelli, MD, and Anatte E. Karmon, MD to offer exceptional care to international patients who do not have fertility options in their home countries. According to Dr. Frattarelli, international patients travel from the Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe, Canada, South America, Africa and elsewhere.
Many of the advanced technologies offered by FIH are not available in other countries. Patients find that the unique combination of advanced technologies, high success rates and the wonderful tourist destination, make treatment at the Fertility Institute of Hawaii a justified investment of both time and financial resources and well worth the effort to travel for this type of reproductive care.
For a normal IVF cycle, International patients have the option of being in Hawaii for the entire cycle (approximately 3 to 4 weeks) or can have the initial cycle started with a physician and be in Hawaii for approximately one week. FIH has an international team of IVF coordinators that helps to coordinate the cycle for the international patients. FIH has coordinators and other members of our staff that can speak several different languages including Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Russian, and Spanish. In addition, FIH has translators available to assist with any necessary communication needs.
